While studying Architecture at University of Brigton for the last three years, I have been captivated by the way of using analogue and digital methods in harmony. I have used these methods in my work.
My project site is Pool Valley, the area where the coach station is located. This area is a place for travellers to get to Brighton by coaches, but it is also a place to leave Brighton. Moreover, due to the terrain, the position of surrounding buildings and its location on the seafront, this area is a space dominated by wind and water.
The project will deal with the shortcomings of the current coach station and redevelop the area. First, this project will visually express the strong winds of this place so that we can feel the perception of thinking negatively as a beauty. In addition, through the movement of the fabric the project expresses the characteristics of this area as a space concerned with gathering and scattering. Then, using anamorphic illusion, the separated pieces of my design come together to create a specific shape to express the characteristics of the site.
